Summernats 

Summernats serves up Australia’s most epic auto action. Featuring the world’s greatest burnout competition; the National Burnout Masters, the colourful City Cruise, the craziest cars in the country and so much more, plus a huge music line up. With so much entertainment, Summernats is a motoring lifestyle festival that you need to experience, so make sure you join more than 100,000 fans for an iconic Australian motoring experience like no other.

Australia Day Fireworks

Sit back and relax as the perfect live soundtrack fills the air at Regatta Point. If a picnic setting is what you’re after, bring family and friends to Patrick White Lawns, where there will be plenty of entertainment for children on offer. Indulge your inner foodie at our marketplace featuring local food trucks before an impressive pyrotechnic display lights up the night sky at 9pm. Marvel as this colourful show bursts to life. Bring a camera and capture the perfect shot of the fireworks reflecting off the lake.

Enlighten Festival

Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle is transformed into a vibrant arts precinct with free entertainment such as talented street artists and international musical acts – all set against a backdrop of stunning architectural projections that shine a light on some of Australia’s most iconic attractions.

Canberra Balloon Spectacular

Wake up to the view of hot air balloons floating across the city during the Canberra Balloon Spectacular. This mesmerising view is best appreciated from the lawns of Old Parliament House. Held over nine days, more than thirty hot air balloons from across the globe are expected to take to our skies this autumn. Remember to keep an eye out for the special shape balloons.

June, July, August

The Truffle Festival

Each year from June to August more than 250 individual events are held across the Canberra region showcasing the region’s fresh Black Winter Truffle.  Taste and experience the magic of these highly-prized gems. Indulge in the special flavours and aromas of truffle dishes at local restaurants and cafes. Join a hunt and see for yourself how the talented dogs unearth truffles. Learn from the chefs and other truffle experts at a cooking class or demonstration, or pop along to a market and pick up some truffle delights for yourself.  The Truffle Festival is the ultimate foodie festival, and a fabulous celebration of winter in the Canberra region.

Canberra Writer’s Festival

With a mixture of free and ticketed events ideal for young and old, the Canberra Writers Festival is a must do when visiting Canberra winter.  This three day festival attracts book lovers, readers and writers from around the nation. Engage in an array of activities from panel and conversation sessions, workshops to lunches and intimate dining events.  Venues include the National Library of Australia, Old Parliament House, National Museum, The Portrait Gallery, National Press Club and Australian National University.

Floriade Flower Festival Canberra

Floriade

Floriade has become Canberra’s most iconic annual tourism event and Australia’s premier spring festival. The floral display of more than a million bulbs and annuals planted across 8,000 square metres of inner city parkland is more than just a flower show. Floriade is a diverse, ever expanding program of music, cultural celebrations, food and wine, horticultural workshops, market traders, artistic displays, entertainment and recreational activities.

Pet Friendly Accommodation

Pet friendly cabins and campsites are available. All small well behaved dogs are allowed yet must be kept on a lead. Medium to large dogs are subject to management approval. All dogs that create an issue will be asked to be removed immediately. We allow indoor cats only. Please contact our management team for assistance.  Management approval may be required.
